Little Actions Create Big Changes

New Years was a few days ago and I know many of you would have made those new years resolutions or goals that kinda seem unattainable now that 2016 is here.

Im not here to tell you that your going to achieve all of them (sorry, I wish I could) but I am here to give you some little tips that will hopefully push you in the right direction to help you take this year head on!

Tip 1: Keep a clean work space
This is so important! I know when my room (which is where I do my writing) gets too messy or over crowded with unnecessary items my brain kinda short circuits and I can never think straight. So whether  you need to clean your room or do the dishes or straighten up the lounge; Make sure your creative space is clean and tidy.

Tip 2: Personal time
Im one of those people that loves to spend time with their friends but when Im home I don’t want to be disturbed. I love to just chill out with my puppy or watch pointless TV or YouTube clips and just have a massive chill out session. Take some time out to have a pamper night or reorganise your shoes or wash your hair; whatever you do that makes you feel calm and helps you to recuperate.

Tip 3: Eat Healthy
Yes, I know everyone says this but its probably one of the most important things you could do. Even if you start out slow and just cut out soft drink or candy at first its better to start somewhere then not start at all. Its also a great place to start if you have trouble with your skin; eating the right diet can make a world of difference!

Tip 4: Drink Water
Approximately 60% of the human body is made up of water so I mean, clearly its an important part of staying happy and healthy. Im not saying go and drink 2L of water right now; just try having a glass when you wake up, when you go to bed and with every meal if you need a guide. If your still struggling there are some awesome water apps you can download like “My Water Balance” or “Waterlogged”  and follow their different approaches.

Tip 5: Exercise regularly
I have never been someone that can go to a gym and pump iron for hours on end. I get so bored and it makes me not want to exercise; so last year i decided to start doing other forms of activity. I would take my dog on more extensive walks in the mornings 6 days a week, in winter I would  do Bikram Yoga and Boxing and in summer I’d take up Swimming and Hiking (because lets be real… Queensland only has 2 temperatures). It doesn’t matter how much you do in the beginning just so long as you do something; Ive never felt so ready to take on the world but once I’ve done my exercise for the morning I feel like theres nothing I can’t achieve.
